Professional Biography Cesar Hernandez
MathematicsWelcome to the 2019 - 2020 school year.
Hi future mathletes! My name is Cesar Hernandez and this is my second year being a Riverside Ram, but not my first year as a Ram. I am originally from the Bronx in New York City. My classroom will give you a hint about things for which I have great enthusiasm. After 23 years in New York, I decided to serve my country by joining the United States Navy. I spent several years serving aboard a variety of naval vessels as a cryptologist. My next adventure in life took me to graduate school at The George Washington University. I earned a Master in Secondary Mathematics Education and started my teaching career. Overall, this is my 23st year teaching mathematics. I have taught almost every course possible and have found a great passion for teaching geometry and calculus. The last 6 years, I have been lucky enough to be an AP reader for Calculus. I am the proud father of two daughters, one a freshman at VCU and the other a senior at Christopher Newport University.
