Mrs. Alex Michelle Case
Mrs. Case is originally from Pennsylvania and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education. She moved to Virginia in January 2012 and taught chemistry at North Stafford High School in Stafford County, VA where she also coached softball and was a volunteer throwing coach for Track & Field. After getting married, she began working in Fairfax County Public Schools in middle school teaching physical science. Her love of trying out new instructional technology within the classroom grew there. She began presenting at Google conferences and providing professional development for her colleagues. Mrs. Case quickly became a teacher leader in a school that piloted 1:1 devices and used PBL units for content mastery.
She joined LCPS in the 2018-2019 school year and earned her Master of Education in Learning and Technology in February 2020. She hopes that her energy and excitement for using educational technology in meaningful ways within the classroom aides in the advancement of student learning. Her favorite tools are ones that provide student voice and choice within the classroom while differentiating for the needs of each individual student and ones that provide opportunities for students to learn real-life skills that matter to them.
