Professional Biography Sandra Dalebout, MPH
English Teacher
Welcome to 9th Honors and 12th Academic English! This is my second year teaching at Riverside and can't wait for the year to begin. We are going to have a great year!
I come to teaching from over two decades working in global health. I hold a Master’s degree in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of North Carolina, a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish from Virginia Tech, and most recently completed the Career Switcher program at Shenandoah University.
Throughout my career, I have trained and mentored staff around the world to think critically and to more effectively communicate their ideas in a wide variety of formats, from writing well-designed proposals to presenting results of their work at international scientific conferences.
I look forward to bringing my career experience into the classroom to help students understand how what they are learning is not only directly applicable to the world, but also how it is vital for students to start thinking about how they can contribute to solving some of the world’s greatest problems.
