Mrs. Laura Neff

Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Laura Neff (formerly known as Carransa) and I’m thrilled to be back for my 6th year at Discovery. I received my Bachelor’s in Science degree, with a minor in Elementary Education, from James Madison University. During my time there, I was very involved in their music programs. I also earned my Master’s degree in Teaching from JMU, GO DUKES!

I am excited to be back in Loudoun County after growing up and completing my K-12 journey in Loudoun County schools. My other passion besides teaching is music. I have my Associate of Arts degree in Music and teach piano lessons. Some of my other hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, traveling, and going to concerts. 

I cannot wait to meet all my students for this upcoming year. Our classroom will be a safe space full of learning and fun. May this year be a great one!
