Welcome to First Grade! My name is Kristen Anderson and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I graduated from James Madison University with both my undergraduate and master's degrees, and then started my teaching career in Loudoun County. I taught third grade for seven years at Dominion Trail Elementary, stayed home with my kids for five years and this is my sixth year teaching first grade as a Discovery Trailblazer! I live in Leesburg with my husband, and two children.
First Grade is a year full of growth, independence and fun and through a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment, we set the stage for strong and successful young minds! I believe that in order for children to have the most success, a strong home school connection is important. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
