This is my second year of teaching and I'm happy to be splitting my time between two excellent schools- Belmont Ridge and Blue Ridge Middle Schools. You can find me at Belmont Ridge on A days and Blue Ridge on B days.

I am originally from Howard County, Maryland and moved to Pennsylvania for college. I am the 15th member of my family to attend Penn State University (WE ARE!). I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I ended up in Loudoun County after marrying my husband Ali who grew up in the area and attended Potomac Falls. For five years I was a preschool teacher, working with infants through pre-k students, amazingly I have seen some of my former students walking the halls at school! I spent several years at home caring for my daughter and son full time while also getting my Master's Degree in Education from Liberty University. I then received my secondary licensure from Shenandoah University.

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family and friends, read, cook/bake, hang with my dogs and binge Netflix (lets be real).

I am absolutely passionate about Family and Consumer Sciences. I know students will walk away from our courses with invaluable life skills and a better understanding of their strengths, passions, and capabilities. My goal is to help equip students for the future which is coming at them so quickly.

We are going to have a great year in FACS 7!
