Mrs. Elizabeth Madigan
After graduating from University of Virginia in 1998, Mrs. Madigan went on to teach internationally in Turin, Italy and Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2001, she took a break from teaching to graduate with Le Grande Diplome from Le Cordon Bleu, London. She then went on to work in restaurants and catering in England, New York City, and Washington, D.C. She continued to work in the food business in gourmet food sales to area restaurants and later as the culinary coordinator for Sur La Table. In 2006, she returned to teaching by combining her love of education with the food world and became a FACS teacher at Farmwell Station Middle School. When her husband's job took their family to Portland, Oregon in 2016, Mrs. Madigan taught high school Culinary Arts and Earlly Childhood Education and explored the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She is thrilled to be back in Loudoun County and ready to start another new adventure at Belmont Ridge Middle School. Mrs. Madigan enjoys traveling with her husband and 2 children, reading a good book, and creating custom cakes for friends and family.
