Hey, Trailside Pack!
I started the first three years of my own education in LCPS before I moved to my hometown of Winchester, VA. I completed a Bachelors in Chemistry and Masters in Education at William & Mary. While most of my practice is in science, I also love math and am working on a second endorsement in ESL! I have worked with students at all grade and developmental levels, but mostly middle and high school. This will be my first year at Trailside!
Education is a unique, lifelong process. Every person experiences it differently, and I am so thrilled to share a part of that journey with our Trailside families. This year, we will explore the physical and molecular wonders that make up the world around us; we might even blow some stuff up… Students will engage in hands-on activities, asking questions and using tools to uncover some of the most fundamental principles of science. This class will look at real-world materials and work to use our scientific knowledge to find solutions to modern problems.
When I’m not pondering the periodic table, I can usually be found babysitting, I am Obsessed with babies! I like to read, watch YouTube, and just relax with friends and family. I love travelling, mostly by plane, but trains, cars, bikes, and ships are also acceptable! I like to volunteer, plan events, and meet people from other parts of the world. This school year, I want to start training for a 5k!
I am so excited to be back in Loudoun County for the 2018-2019 school year! I look forward to meeting and working with all of you!

The ability to learn is a skill
The willingness to learn is a choice.
