This is my fourth year at Trailside, and I am excited to be teaching 7th and 8th graders!  This school year will be my eighth year teaching middle school mathematics.  I started my journey in education after graduating from Lafayette College (Go Leopards!), with a Bachelors Degree in Economics.  After working in finance for a year, I decided I needed a change.  I joined Urban Teachers in Washington, DC, which is an alternative teaching certification program.  Through Urban Teachers, I earned two Master's Degrees of Education (Secondary Math and Special Education) from Lesley University.  Through my journey, I have found that teaching and making a lasting impact on my students is my true passion.  Coaching is another passion of mine, and I am entering my third season as an assistant football coach for Heritage High School in Leesburg (Roar Pride!).  This year will be an adventure, and I am excited to go along on this ride with all of you!  Go Timberwolves! 

On a personal note, I am a Pennsylvania native, have three cats named Leo, Gouda Chubbs, and Ghost Pepper, and two dogs named Macaroni and Brussels Sprout.  In my free time, I enjoy watching sports (my favorite is football-Go Eagles!), playing basketball, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, and spending time with friends and family.
