After high school she lived in Hawaii, Idaho, and Utah attending school. She recieved her Bachelor's from Brigham Young University-Idaho and returned to Northern Virginia to work for LCPS. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Marrott is a writer, performing musician, and fashion designer. She enjoys spending time with her family who all live VERY close. Mrs. Marrott and her husband have a 1 year old daughter and miniature schnauzer-poodle mix named Muggle.

Mrs. Marrott puts emphasis on self-reliance for all of her students. In the classroom she focuses on helping students become independent and interested in what they are learning by seeing how their school experiences reflect real life. She often reminds her students that they are in school in order to learn how to do new things. She believes that being a resourceful problem solver is a necessary part of life and can often be heard telling her students to "Google it."
