    Miss Merriman  began teaching at Heritage in 2011 and has been teaching for 19 years. She graduated from Christopher Newport University in 1993 with a BA in Political Science.  After that, she worked with a grassroots political activist group, in the banking industry, retail management, as well as in her home town school district. She is a dually licensed teacher and completed her coursework at CNU and the University of Virginia. This year she is teaching Government and World History I. She also coaches track and cross country at Heritage.
