Mrs. Avey

Hi! My name is Krystal Avey. This is my 14th year teaching Special Education. I'm excited to start another year with the amazing team here at Emerick Elementary. Prior to teaching in Virginia I taught in New Jersey for 4 years. I graduated from Georgian Court University where I received a dual certification in elementary education and special education. I also earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from Thomas Edison State University. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, and shopping. 

I love teaching and watching students grow as life long learners.  I look forward to a fun and learning filled school year!!!!
