Ms. O'Bruba

Welcome, Lion Nation!

Ms. O'Bruba is excited to be back in 3rd Grade for her sixth year of teaching (all at Cedar Lane)! 

Growing up, Ms. O'Bruba attended LCPS schools and is fortunate to return to the area that shaped her.  She attended Christopher Newport University, where she received a Bachelor's in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Teaching.  Although teaching is her true passion, when she's out of the classroom, she enjoys traveling, taking pictures, and spending time with her family.  In the classroom, Ms. O'Bruba strives to provide a safe and supportive environment, designed to challenge each student to reach his/her full potential.  She also values hands-on and cooperative learning, as well as teaching students how to problem-solve, which is a skill that is useful both in and out of the classroom setting.

Ms. O'Bruba can't wait for another terrific year at Cedar Lane and looks forward to meeting you all soon!
