Miss Rebecca Twentey

My name is Rebecca Twentey and I am one of the school counselors at Seldens Landing Elementary. I am very excited to be back at Seldens Landing for my third year! Leesburg has been home for a couple of years now, and I have loved getting to know the Seldens families and community. I especially enjoy getting to see our students grow their brains and their hearts each year. I possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Christopher Newport University. After college I taught Kindergarten for two years in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. I then returned to school to obtain a Master of Education in School Counseling from the College of William and Mary. Before coming to Loudoun I served as the school counselor for A.G. Richardson Elementary School in Culpeper, Virginia. In my spare time I love to read, play guitar badly, and take my Boxer puppy on walks.

This year (2020-2021) I will be at Seldens all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, as well as Monday and Wednesday mornings until 11:10 am. Monday and Wednesday afternoons I join the counseling team at Cedar Lane Elementary School in Ashburn. At Seldens I am the primary counselor for grades 2, 4, and 5, but our other counselor Mrs. Brinker and I work closely and collabortatively to serve all Seldens students. She will also be available for any student and family while I am at Cedar Lane. We offer individual and small group counseling services, and also deliver classroom counseling lessons to each K-5 classroom every other week. I am also always available for teacher collaboration and parent consultation. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time by calling the front office (571-252-2260) and requesting to speak with me, or by sending me an email at During distance learning, you can also contact me at my internet-based phone number: (571) 440-2568 ext. 60591.
