    Hello!  I am Melissa Payes and I am so excited to be a part of the Music Department here at

    J. Michael Lunsford Middle School!  This is my third year at JML, and we have a very exciting year ahead of us.  I am a resident of Ashburn, Virginia, and have lived in Virginia my entire life.  I graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Fairfax County, and attended George Mason University where I graduated with a degree in Music Education.  I have a wonderful husband and four children.  I also have two dogs that I love to cuddle and play with.  Choir will look different this year, but it's still going to be amazing and I cannot wait to get started!
