Hello!  and Welcome to Art Class!!

It's going to be an exciting school year!  This is my second year in LCPS and I am now full-time at JML!!  I have been an Art teacher, at the middle school level, for 32 years and I am so excited to be welcoming my new 6th and 7th graders.  I graduated from Towson State University and have taken graduate classes at Mt. St. Mary's University and Towson University.   I have two children, one is just starting high school, and the other is a graphic designer and also enjoying an Art career.  My husband is a Technology Education teacher in Frederick County, MD.  We love to travel to Lake Anna and go fishing and camping.  I can also be found at my sewing machine in my spare time!  I love to sew!

This year, in art class, students will be using a variety of media to create meaningful artworks that promote growth in technical skill and advance the students' knowledge of artistic styles.  Students will document this growth using a digital process portfolio that will be accessible on Google Classroom, details will be given in class. Please visit their Digital porftolios on Google classroom to follow their Art journey!

I am looking forward to teaching my new Art students, let's make it a great year!!
