Mrs. Julie Edwards
Mrs. Julie Edwards is thrilled to be teaching Mathematics 7 and Coding at the Middle School (CAMS) for her second year at Brambleton Middle School. Before teaching, she spent 20 years working in business.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Washington D.C. and has lived in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas, and Oklahoma. She returned to Northern Virginia in 1998 and is happy to call this beautiful area of the country home. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, singing, playing piano, writing, coaching field hockey, and performing in community theater. She is a lifelong learner who is never content to sit still. She plans to learn to play the guitar this year. Fun Facts: Mrs. Edwards played roller derby for two years with the DC Rollergirls. She has also performed at the Kennedy Center, Ford's Theatre, and the Music Center at Strathmore.
Mrs. Edwards understands that Middle School Math can be tough! She hopes to bring clarity, excitement, and real-world application of mathematics and coding to her students. Mrs. Edwards aspires to create a classroom culture where mistakes and failures are embraced and are used as learning experiences to "fail forward."
Assistance is available in room 712 on A-Day mornings from 8-8:30 AM and after school by prior arrangement.
All assignments and important dates will be posted to the Math 7 Google Site. Please reach out to Mrs. Edwards directly with any questions.
