I am Officer Ascunce with the Leesburg Police Department and I have been serving since 2004.  While working for the Leesburg Police, I have served in many capacities from Patrol to the Criminal Investigations Division.  Currently I am assigned to Heritage High School as the School Resource Officer (S.R.O.).  As a sworn law-enforcement officer, my duty is to provide a law enforcement presence; address any criminal violations affecting or occurring in or around the school; develop or expand crime prevention efforts for students; educate in crime prevention and safety; and ensure that students and school personnel have the safest environment in which to learn and work.  I hope to continue in Officer Bolden's method of policing by building bridges between students, staff, parents, and law enforcement because through effective communication we can help children make right choices.
