About me: I grew up about 45 minutes outside of New York City, but now call Purcellville home, along with my husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs and 3 cats. My undergraduate degree is from Vassar College, and my graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology are from Boston College (M.A.), and University of Miami (Ph.D.). After my clinical training in behavioral medicine, I was a University-based researcher working on local, state and federal program evaluation grants and contracts. I also spent 2 years working at the American Psychological Association. My teaching certification is from Shenandoah University’s career switcher program. Before coming to Blue Ridge, I worked in Special Education at Kenneth Culbert Elementary. I love reading and writing and helping students discover and develop their own strengths in English Language Arts!
