    Mrs. Herrmann is a passionate mathematics teacher in the Academy of Science (AOS). She earned bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and theater studies at Duke University and began teaching mathematics in New Jersey. She then joined the AOS faculty in 2014 and currently teaches AOS Mathematical Analysis and Computational Modeling 1 (9th), AOS BC Calculus (11th), and AOS Multivariable Calculus (12th).
     
    Mrs. Herrmann strives to develop lifelong learners by utilizing curriculum that enables students to learn by doing, creating a conversational environment in which students share and construct their own knowledge, and motivating students to actively examine and extend their thinking.
