Laura Boyd Smidt

Entrepreneurship Educator

Laura Boyd Smidt joined the AET inaugural faculty in the fall of 2016 as an Entrepreneurship Educator. Previously, she taught a variety of marketing courses at Freedom High School in South Riding, VA where she also served as the Career & Technical Education Department Chair. Mrs. Smidt served on the Academy of Engineering & Technology Curriculum Planning Committee and has done curriculum development for the Virginia Department of Education for various marketing courses. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Mrs. Smidt also completed the Babson Symposium For Entrepreneurship Educators at Babson College.
