Mrs. JJ Ferrell

 

Professional Bio:

Mrs. Ferrell is in her 11th year of education, and is in her 1st year as a Dean at Willard Intermediate. Before opening Willard, Mrs. Ferrell spent 4 years as an Instructional Faciltator, Technology for Loudoun County Public Schools at Frederick Douglass Elementary School and Belmont Ridge Middle School. Mrs. Ferrell also has 5 years of experience teaching middle school math in Frederick County, VA and at Smarts Mill Middle School in Leesburg, VA. She holds a Master of Education in Education Leadership (K-12) from George Mason University, a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Teaching (P-6) from Eastern Kentucky University. Mrs. Ferrell is very excited to be working with this year's 9th grade students and teachers, as her goal is to support students in every way possible to help them succeed during their first year as highschoolers. She encourages parents to reach out to her with any questions they may have during the school year.

Personal Bio:

Mrs. Ferrell grew up in Corbin, KY, home of the orginal KFC. Mrs. Ferrell enjoys reading young adult novels reccommended by her students, watching television and movies with her husband, and exploring the innovations that new tech gadgets bring to everyday life.
