A New York transplant, Mrs. Pepio and her family have called Northern Virginia home for the past 26 years.  Her fond affiliation with Loudoun County Public Schools began when her eldest son entered kindergarten back in 1992 and continued with her youngest son, who graduated in 2010.  After years of volunteer service, Mrs. Pepio's association with LCPS shifted to a professional capacity when she started teaching English at Potomac Falls High School in 2007.
After spending the past seven years working at Broad Run and Rock Ridge High Schools, she is delighted to be returning home to Panther Territory in the capacity of Reading Specialist and co-sponsor of the Battle of the Books Team.  To prepare our students to be active, literate participants in our 21st Century global community, Mrs. Pepio sees her role as one which includes, but is not limited to:  motivator, facilitator, reading resource enthusiast, and conduit to comprehension.  She believes reading, like a lifelong friendship, should be a fulfilling practice that challenges, inspires, entertains, educates, and is free from anxiety and frustration.  Whether developing, improving, or enhancing comprehension skills, her primary goal is to bolster student confidence.
Focused on nurturing a sense of belonging and camaraderie, Mrs. Pepio strives to make her classroom a place where all who enter feel comfortable, valued, and important.  If your child is a student in Mrs. Pepio's Reading Class and/or you have questions or concerns you'd like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact her via email at lori.pepio@lcps.org.
