Ms. Moriah Rush

Hi! My name is Moriah Rush and I have taught 4th grade for five years in Warren County, Virginia.  As a child, I enjoyed playing “school” with my sister. She was always a good sport and completed all my made-up worksheets and assignments. J  My passion for learning and teaching flourished through 4-H, where I was a camp counselor and mentor. When I graduated from high school, I had no doubt what degree I would pursue in college; I knew teaching was my calling. I received my Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University in May of 2013. After college, I still wanted to continue learning, so I continued to find opportunities to learn new instructional methods and enhance my current teaching practices. Through these adventures, I became a Google Certified Educator and a Shenandoah Valley Writing Project Teacher Consultant. I have always dreamt of moving to a more suburban neighborhood, so I was ECSTATIC when I was offered a 4th grade position at Creighton’s Corner Elementary School! Everything has fallen into place. Next, I will be joining the Loudoun County community when I move to Leesburg in July with my two sons, Eli and Baylen, and our Pekinese Chihuahua, Mollie. We are excited to explore all the shops, museums, and parks that Loudoun County has to offer!

To say that I am excited to join the team at Creighton’s Corner and move to Leesburg, would be an understatement!  I am ready for, what I know will be, a long and happy career at Creighton’s Corner Elementary School and life in Loudoun County!
