I am very excited to join the Creighton's Corner team! This will be my eleventh-year teaching in Loudoun County and I am absolutely thrilled to be a Colt!

I grew up in New Jersey and moved to the beautiful state of Virginia to attend James Madison University. After graduating, I taught second grade for four years at Sterling Elementary. During my years as a second-grade teacher, I discovered that teaching reading was my passion. This inspired me to attend The University of Virginia and earn a Master's Degree in Reading Education. I continued to teach third grade and kindergarten at Countryside Elementary for six more years.

After taking a few years off from teaching to care for my two sons, Andrew and Owen, I became an assistant preschool teacher at Celebration Preschool in Ashburn. This past year I had the awesome experience of being a substitute teacher at Creighton's Corner. I have been inspired by the students, the sense of community and the focus of leadership throughout the building.

My family lives in Brambleton and the opportunity to teach at our neighborhood school is a dream come true. My husband, Corey, our boys and I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, traveling, watching movies and playing games together.

I cannot wait to get back in the classroom! I love teaching and am looking forward to a fantastic future at Creighton's Corner Elementary!
