Mrs. Martha Rombach
Mrs. Rombach is thrilled to once again be teaching both Eighth Grade English and Communications here at River Bend. Mrs. Rombach earned her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University, majoring in English and minoring in Studio Art. Following a marketing and public relations career in the publishing and pharmaceutical industries, Mrs. Rombach completed the Career Switcher program through Shenandoah University and became a full-time middle school educator. Prior to joining the stellar team at River Bend, Mrs. Rombach spent six years teaching Sixth Grade and Eighth Grade English at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Brambleton. Mrs. Rombach is currently enrolled in the University of Virginia's Gifted & Talented graduate program.
Mrs. Rombach is the proud parent of five human beings: Shelby, her eldest, is a JMU alum and tech sales representative living her best life in Boulder, Colorado; Cullen, a W&M grad, is a computer programmer who lives and works in Loudoun County; Bryan, a UVA graduate and computer engineer, works in Seattle, Washington for Amazon’s satellite division; Cady, a UVA undergraduate, is finishing up her Media Studies major and pursuing a career as a physician’s assistant; Sean, the youngest Rombach, is a senior at Loudoun County High School.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Rombach and her family are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, exploring national parks, traveling as often as possible, and traversing off-road trails in their top-down orange Jeep. Mrs. Rombach loves reading, journaling and blogging, checking in on former students, walking her dogs, Clancy and Lainey, and collecting Funko Pop figurines.
