I am Nicole Erny, new to Moorefield Station this year, and excited to join the kindergarten team! I graduated from James Madison University with my bachelors degree in sociology and early childhood education, and earned my Masters degree in education from George Mason University. I have previously taught kindergarten in Manassas Park and in a private kindergarten program. This will be my 13th year working with kindergarten.
I think Kindergarten is the most important year! Here we will learn the foundation of all academics, and most importantly the building blocks of all social skills such as cooperation, active listening, helping each other, and working together as part of a learning community. It is my hope that all students find a joy and love of learning and curiosity that stays with them throughout their lives. I am looking forward to getting to know all my students and families throughout year!
I live in Loudoun County with my husband and 3 children. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, gardening, and taking trips to the beach with my family, visiting museums, cooking, reading, and cheering for my kids at their sporting events!
