I am Nicole Erny, excited to be on the Kindergarten team at Moorefield Station! I think Kindergarten is the most important year! Here we will learn the foundation of all academics, and most importantly the building blocks of all social skills such as cooperation, active listening, helping each other, and working together as part of a learning community. It is my hope that all students find a joy and love of learning and curiosity that stays with them throughout their lives. 

I graduated from James Madison University with my bachelors degree in sociology and early childhood education, and earned my Masters degree in education from George Mason University. I have previously taught kindergarten in Manassas Park and in a private kindergarten program. This will be my 17th year working with kindergarten.

I live in Ashburn with my husband and 3 children and our adorable new puppy. My son is in his second year at UVA, my oldest daughter will be a freshman at the University of Delaware, and my youngest daughter is in her sophomore year of high school. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, taking trips to the beach with my family, visiting museums, and cheering for my kids at their sporting events, volleyball, basketball, track and cross country! 

Working with me again this year is Mrs. Claudia Aabel, we are so excited to get to know all our students and families throughout the year!
