Welcome to Room 20!

Please check out our class blog for updates on homework, tests/quizzes, and school events!

My name is KaiLea (kay-lee) Stiffler and I am so excited to be working with your second graders this year! It will be my fourth year of teaching and at Pinebrook.

My goals as a teacher include helping your child not only foster a love of school, but also build strong connections with their peers. I believe that having positive social skills and interactions helps to create a classroom community where everyone is comfortable making mistakes as we learn together. While starting the year in the distance learning setting may cause a couple of roadblocks to achieving this success, I hope that we (you, me, your child, and your family) will find ways to still meet this goal together!

I grew up in Middletown, Maryland. In 2017, I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in history. I am currently attending Hood College to earn my Master's degree in math and science education.

I enjoy reading, taking walks, and continuing to learn new things. I also love hanging out with my cat, Valkyrie; she tends to pop up in Google Meets when I'm teaching at home so you may see her!

After a wonderful first three years, I look forward to seeing what this coming year brings!
