Mrs. Robertson, 8th Grade Physical Science
Mrs. Robertson loves Science! She is a graduate of George Mason University and has been teaching science since 1990. She completed the LCPS Core Experience training and uses these and other hands on lab activities and experiments in her daily teaching. She has presented at the Virginia Association of Science Teachers (VAST) and has participated in several LCPS science curriculum committees. She is currently an 8th grade Team Leader and Science Subject Area Lead Teacher (SALT). She has several years of experience in both roles and has also been a new teacher Mentor and Blue Ridge's Lead Mentor. A few years ago she was thrilled to participate in the Northrop Grumman Weightless Flights of Discovery program and take a ride in the "vomit comet." She also enjoyed a behind the scenes tour at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, visiting the Vehicle Assembly Building and attending a presentation from a Mission Specialist (astronaut)!
Mrs. Robertson is happily married to a paramedic-firefighter and is the proud mother of a high school senior who plays violin and rugbyl! Mrs. Robertson is also an avid reader and loves scrapbooking. She walked in the AVON 39, Washington, DC, Walk to End Breast Cancer three times in honor of, and then memory of, her dear friend and past colleague, Chris.
