Hello Liberty Eagles! 

My name is Kaitlyn Andrews (formerly, LaMantia). I am so excited to start my seventh year teaching at Liberty Elementary School! I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in December 2017 with my Masters in Teaching and a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. I was a student-athlete and received a full scholarship to play volleyball. I was on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for many semesters while at VCU. Being a student-athlete taught me many life skills that I incorporate into my classroom. I believe that leadership, building a community, and working together all help students succeed. I am a huge believer in forming relationships with my students; learning how my students learn and having them reach their full potential is a goal of mine. I also am a huge encourager of students finding their passion and doing what they love.  

In my free time, I love traveling, trying new restaurants, working out, and spending time with my friends and family. I currently live in Fairfax with my husband, Micah.
