Mrs. Annie Brinker

I am so excited to enter my sixth year as a Seldens Landing Cardinal! A native of Reston, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies), and a professional background in television production and event planning. After spending ten years at home with my three boys (a 6th, 9th and 11th grader in LCPS), I realized a passion for helping children become the best version of themselves. I returned to graduate school to earn my Master's degree in School Counseling, and joined the Seldens Landing team in December 2017. I absolutely love the families in Lansdowne, and thoroughly enjoy working with our students each year. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, trips to the beach, reading, enjoying the outdoors and watching my boys grow up.

In addition to providing developmental classroom lessons and personalized small groups, I meet one on one with students to assist them with any needs or concerns they may have. I also act as a liaison between teachers and parents, families, and community resources.

My co-counselor, Mrs. Amanda George and I work together to help all students achieve success in the areas of academics, career planning and social/emotional regulation. Please feel free to reach out to us anytime with questions or concerns.
