Ms. Douglas will be supporting the English department and also teaching English 12 self-contained and a basic skills class. This is her 3rd year teaching at Park View and her 9th year in education. Prior to joining the Park View family, Ms. Douglas worked as a special education teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools and New Hanover County Public Schools (NC), as well as at the Office of Special Education for DC Public Schools as an LEA Representative/Case Manager for students placed in residential facilities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from NC A&T State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Special Education focus from Howard University and a reading certification from East Carolina University. Ms. Douglas is currently working on a Master's degree in Distance Education and E-learning and a certificate in Human Resource Management at the University of Maryland University College.  She is a native of North Carolina and a huge Carolina Panthers fan!
