Mr. Kern

This is Deane Kern's seventeeth year teaching at Harper Park.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rutgers University and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.  He has taught in the the Czech Republic and Japan, as well as at Pitt, Duquesne and Shepherd Universities. He has also taught at Harpers Ferry Job Corps and at Musselman Middle School in Bunker Hill, WV.  Mr. Kern lives in West Virginia and has three children.  He can be found at a live music venue almost every weekend, singing and playing the guitar.
