Mr. Saunders

Welcome to third grade! Mike Saunders is now in his 13th year teaching. This is his 6th year at Tolbert Elementary. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science in Elementary Education from Ashford University as well as his degree in Visual Communication from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Mike absolutely loves teaching and is a huge sports fan. Growing up in Northern West Virginia, he is a huge fan of WV Mountaineers and Pittsburgh professional sports teams (Pirates, Steelers and Penguins). He also coaches high school girls basketball, as well as AAU girls basketball here in Loudoun County.

Mike currently resides in Charles Town, WV, along with his wife, daughter - Olivia, son - Bradley  and his dogs, Barnaby and Simba. His hobbies include cooking, fishing and gardening!
