Welcome to 8th Grade Civics and Exploratory Dramatics
Hi! I'm Beverly Pruzina, a Shenandoah University Career Switcher endorsed in Social Science, Theatre and English in the State of Virginia. I also have a Bachelors of Communications from Temple University in Philadelphia. I’m thrilled to be at Eagle Ridge! Prior to teaching, I owned a franchised theatre business for 10 years and worked as a broadcast journalist on radio and television in Richmond, VA. In addition I have more than 20 years with work as a professional actor and theatre director. It has been my dream for many years to become a teacher and have found a great place to begin that journey at Eagle Ridge MS.
As a wife and mother of a few LCPS students of my own, I love learning! My classroom specialty is using lessons involving theatre genre and knowledge of the professional world of journalism and theatre. In my spare time, I direct the Eagle Ridge Theatre Productions and am the Drama Club Adviser. You'll also see me volunteering in the community as I am a big proponent of giving back. I will also encourage your student to volunteer throughout the school year so that they fulfill the neccessary 10 hours of community service for Civics.

*For Homework, Projects and Assignments will be listed in Parent & Student Vue. All completed class notes will be posted in the Google Classroom (usually by the end of the day).
*If absent, students should first check the Google Classroom for notes missed. Students may also check with classmates or study group partners and if still in need of help may contact me via email. Following these steps will greatly prepare students for success in my classes and for future high school classes.
*For any Extra Help, I am available before school at 8:10am-8:30am or 2nd block on A days and 5th block on B days. Please email me in advance, as I use that time for planning with other teachers.
