Ms. Kim Comrie

Ms. Comrie

Ms. Comrie is a veteran music teacher who has taught kindergarten through 12^th grade, specifically general music and band.  She is thrilled to be at Algonkian Elementary as your full-time music teacher!

Ms. Comrie graduated from Queens University (in Canada) with a B.S. in Music Education with a concentration in Band.  She has a master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum and a master’s degree in Leadership from George Mason University.  She is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the American Orff Schulwerk Association, and the Middle Atlantic Chapter of American Orff-Schulwerk Association. Ms. Comrie is also Orff Level III certified. 

Ms. Comrie is a native of Ottawa, Canada. Ms. Comrie moved to Virginia 22 years ago. In her free time, Ms. Comrie loves traveling, visiting family up north in Canada and down south in South Carolina. She enjoys hiking, biking, fishing, and walking her dog.
