Ms. Julie Saraceno

Mrs. Saraceno grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Edinboro University.  After graduation, she moved to Warrenton, Virginia and enjoyed teaching in Fauquier County Public Schools for four years.  During that time, she completed her Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Reading from the University of Virginia.

After receiving her Reading Specialist degree, she began teaching in Loudoun County. She was a Reading Specialist at Lovettsville Elementary for one year before moving to Ashburn Elementary where she enjoyed a Reading Specialist position for 6 years before taking time off to raise her son.  During her time off, she started a tutoring program called "Ready, Set, Read!" where she provided one on one tutoring as well as reading enrichment classes for local students.  Mrs. Saraceno is thrilled to return to Loudoun County Public Schools as a part time Reading Specialist at Algonkian Elementary!  She loves being part of the Bobcat Team!

Mrs. Saraceno lives in Leesburg with her husband, son and two dogs.  When she is not teaching, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, baking, and of course, reading!
