Jeanine Michaelian

This is Ms. Michaelian's fifth year at Rock Ridge High School and she is very happy to be a part of the Phoenix family.  She will teach World History II, VA & US History, and U.S. Government this year.  Prior to coming to Rock Ridge, she taught 8th grade Civics, Science, and English at Stone Hill Middle School.  This year she will act as a mentor to a new teacher in the Special Education department and as an adult advisor in the Sources of Strength program. This will be her 15th year as an educator with Loudoun County Public Schools.

Ms. Michaelian graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor's Degree Political Science & International Relations.  She earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education from George Mason University and a graduate certificate in Specialized Reading & Literacy.  When she is not at school Ms. Michaelian enjoys travel, yoga, cheering for the Washington Capitals, and exploring the beautiful Loudoun County countryside.
