Mrs. Pineda is very excited to be a part of the Sterling Middle School team as an Instructional Facilitator!
Mrs. Pineda received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a Minor in English and an emphasis on Children’s Literature, from San Diego State University. After this, she completed a two-year teacher preparation program at SDSU. Most recently, Mrs. Pineda received a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and has acquired her K-12 Administrator Endorsement.
She has taught in public, private, and charter schools on the west and east coasts in the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade levels. She has been teaching in Loudoun County since 2012 and has taught at Sully Elementary and Sterling Elementary. She knows the students and families in the Sterling community very well and is excited to see all that these students will accomplish in middle school!
Mrs. Pineda is originally from San Diego, California, and has lived in the DC area for twelve years. She has been married for twenty-one years and has two children. This year, her son is going to be a freshman in college at San Diego State University. Her daughter will be a junior in college at New York University and will be studying abroad in Italy. In Mrs. Pineda's free time she loves to read, hike, bike ride, and watch movies or TV shows with her family.
She is looking forward to working and learning with the teachers, students, and families at
