Mrs. Julia Hale

My name is Julia Hale and I love being a part of the first grade team at Ashburn Elementary. As a veteran teacher in my eighteenth year of teaching, I have taught kindergarten, first, and fifth grades and instructed reading on all levels. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning. I am originally from Kentucky, but have lived in Virginia for the last 10 years. I have been married to my husband for almost 25 years. He served 20 years in the Air Force and before retiring we spent time in Kansas and Florida. We have 2 daughters, a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh and a first-year teacher beginning her career in Kentucky. I am looking forward to another action-packed year in first grade. My classroom is a busy place filled with high expectations, excitement, and a love for learning!
