Ms. Johnston

     I am thrilled to be the Administrative Dean at Newton-Lee this year, and I know that we will work closely together to ensure that your child finds success throughout their elementary school years. This is my 21st year with Loudoun County Public Schools, and my second year serving as Dean.  Previously, I have taught 4th grade, served as a dean in the 2019-2020 school year, and I have also taught first and second grade.  I have loved getting to know all of the students and families in the NLE community, and I can't wait to spend this amazing year with you.

     To tell you a little bit more about myself, I grew up in the area and still live nearby.  I have two children, Jack and Hannah. Jack is a sophomore at Riverside High School, and Hannah is a seventh grader at Trailside Middle School.  I love to read and spend time outside with my kids.  We also love to go to the movies and build Lego sets - the best set we've ever built was the Disney Castle!
