Mrs. Smith is originally from sunny San Diego, CA and has been living in Loudoun County for five years. She received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley with a double major in Economics and History, and graduated with High Honors. After college, Mrs. Smith worked for several years in the Strategy, Finance, and Economic Consulting group of Arthur Andersen in San Francisco and later worked in the Forensic Consulting department at KPMG in New York City.

More recently, Mrs. Smith pursued her long time dream and earned her Master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum with a focus on Elementary Education (K-6) at George Mason University where she won the 2017 Outstanding Graduate Student Award for the program. Throughout graduate school, Mrs. Smith has enjoyed working in various classrooms throughout Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun County.

In her spare time, Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys Logan (12), Lucas (10), and dog Sam. She loves to read, knit, sew, watch movies, spend time with friends, and look for seashells at the beach.

Mrs. Smith is looking forward to the 2017-2018 school year and is very excited to be part of the amazing community at Creighton’s Corner!
