Mrs. Christine Sealock
I'm excited to be a part of the Brambleton Middle School family! I'm a secondary business education teacher and yearbook advisor/club sponsor. I am also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, Professional Division, and Future Business Leaders of America, Middle-Level Adviser, Chapter 19398. For the 2020-2021 school year, I will be teaching Introduction to Computer Applications, which includes computer science, career exploration, entrepreneurship, Microsoft Office/Google Applications, and touch typing.
I worked in medical, legal, and retail management for 15 years prior to switching to education 18 years ago. I have earned an associate's degree in early childhood education, a bachelor's in secondary education (with an emphasis in business education), a master's degree in educational leadership, and an education specialist degree in educational leadership (with a character education concentration). Currently, I am continuing my character education research with an education psychology concentration at Regent University through the Ph.D. program and a goal graduation date in May 2022.
Previous educational experiences include administrative leadership roles, and teaching: K-4 beginning computer, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, 5th/6th keyboarding, 7th-12th English, 7th/8th computer information systems, 7th-10th life skills, 11th/12th economics/personal finance, and 9th-12th yearbook.
Family and friends are important to me and our favorite activities are watching movies, reading, traveling, swimming, hiking, biking, camping, and board gaming. I have always risen to the excitement of a new challenge and I'm a life-long learner, driven to work with today's youth to develop exceptional social-emotional learning and 21st-century skills. Our goal as secondary instructional facilitators at Brambleton is to use the 5Cs of learning to develop a growth mindset in our future contributors.
