About Mr. Buttrick:
Mr. Buttrick is a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. He holds degrees in Political Science and Secondary Education. This is Mr. Buttrick's fourteenth year at Belmont Ridge, where he has taught 7th grade US History and 8th Grade Civics and Economics. As a graduate from Loudoun County Public Schools, Mr. Buttrick is excited to continue to work within the community he has called home for most of his life. Outside of school, Mr. Buttrick and his wife love spending time with their two sons, Alan and Jake, and three cats named Fluffernut, Jonesy, and Sammie!
In Social Studies this year, students will be learning the fundamentals of government processes, economics, and being an engaged and active 21st century citizen.
