BS Chemical Engineering MBA

Mr. Tim Manning

I am a Chemical Engineer with an MBA and I worked 30+ years in the Petrochemical Industry as a Process Engineer, Plant Manager, Director and Vice President of Operations. I have a broad background with Chemical Processes, Productivity, Operations, Industrial Safety, Technology and most importantly I have worked with some great people from all over the world.  I have lived in Saudi Arabia, Columbia, Croatia, Egypt, India and spent significant time in China.   I feel this diverse experience can be brought to the classroom to provide valuable insight and depth to projects, teamwork, and methodology.

I come to teaching through Shenandoah University where I earned my Virginia Licensing Certification in conjunction with the outreach program at Loudoun County Public Schools.  Many of my mentors and instructors are current Loudoun teachers and Administrators with significant school experience.

I have worked with Youth Sports for almost twenty years with National Licensure in Soccer through USFIFA.  I have coached Basketball, Baseball, and taught Karate as well.  My goal here at Simpson will be to help Students develop proficiency and lifelong interest in Science.  As a Seventh & Eighth grade teacher, I will be working with an entire community of Educators, Parents, and Staff to help Students build a solid foundation for their future careers and lives.

On a personal note, I am the father of four, originally from New Jersey but have lived in Virginia for the past seventeen years.  My wife, Bernadette, has been an educator (Special Ed) for thirty years and has been instrumental in helping my move to teaching.

I look forward to working with all the students and faculty to ensure a fun and successful 2017/18 school year.
