This is Mrs. McGrath's 17th year teaching third grade at Hillside Elementary.  She received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  She is also an alumnus of Old Dominion University’s Darden School of Education and the Virginia Department of Education’s Career Switcher Program.  She holds an Elementary teaching license with endorsements in Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.  

Mrs. McGrath lives in Leesburg, VA with her husband and two pets.  Both of her children previously attended Hillside  Elementary!  Her son Michael is a graduate of James Madison University, and her daughter Morgan is currently a junior attending the University of South Carolina.
