Hello! My name is Heather Kent and this is my sixth year on the 2nd grade team at Hillside! I am very excited to welcome you to one of the most amazing years your child will have in school! I lived in Leesburg 15 years and moved to Lovettsville 6 years ago. Both of my daughters have grown up attending Loudoun County schools. I received my Bachelors degreee in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. 

Parents are an integral part of the education process so please join me in encouraging and praising your child to grow and thrive this year. 

  In second grade we will be enhancing our writing skills, problem solving with math, investigating living systems and expanding our vocabulary through new reading strategies. I am so excited to be a part of your community and lead our students to grow and succeed. I look forward to working with you and your child this year as we embark on our journey through the 2nd grade!
