Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Lauren Carlson
Hello, Timberwolf Family!
I am beyond excited for our year together at Trailside. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support our students as the 6th-Grade Dean! I attended Loudoun County Public Schools myself (Go Titans!), and I am proud to be able to give back to a community that has given me so much. I attended both undergraduate and graduate school at James Madison University (Go Dukes!) to obtain my Master's degree in Special Education with concentrations in both math and science. Upon returning to LCPS, I taught in the elementary school setting before finding that my true passion is working with middle school students! In fact, I love it so much that I decided to attend George Washington University to obtain my Post-Master Certificate for Educational Leadership in order to explore more leadership opportunities.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our mini bernedoodle, Charlie! I love being outdoors, whether it be biking, hiking, or anything else that gets me out there and exploring. I also enjoy watching and going to sports games (Go Steelers!), trying new restaurants, and finding time to relax and read in my hammock.
I am passionate about supporting each student throughout their middle school experience and am eager to get to know each of our sixth graders this year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or comments about anything. I look forward to working with each and every one of you during this year - even in this new virtual world!
