Mrs. Jodi Reeve

I am so excited about the upcoming year at Trailside Middle School. We are so happy to have you with us!   It is a privilege to be your teacher, I know we are going to have a wonderful journey together.  As this is my 6th year at Trailside, this school year marks my 19th year of teaching.  I started my professional journey in 2000 when I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware with a concentration in Mathematics. (Go Blue Hens!).  I taught for three years in Brandywine School District before moving to Virginia in 2003. I taught in Fairfax County, both fifth grade and first grade, for four years before making the move out to Loudoun County in 2007.  I opened Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School in 2007, where I taught first grade for two years. When my son started Kindergarten in 2009, I took some time off to be home with him, and returned to Rosa Lee Carter in 2013 to teach 5th grade. I knew that middle school is where my journey was taking me and I am honored and privileged to be a part of this amazing pack! After 4 years teaching with the 6th grade team, this is the 2nd year that I am honored to work with all 3 grade levels of students.  I know with hard work, perseverance and a growth mindset, we will have great success this year!

On a personal note, I am married, have a son who will be starting his apprenticeship at The Apprentice School in Newport News, VA this fall, a 6-year-old daughter starting 1st grade at Newton-Lee Elementary, and two step-daughters, one who is in her senior year at Heritage HIgh School and another who just graduated from Old Dominion University. My family and I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, going to the beach, visiting the lake, and spending time with our adorable 9-1/2 year old Vizsla, Stella.
