Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Andrea Kling

Hi, I am ecstatic to be starting my 21st year in Loudoun County Public Schools.  This is my sixth year at Trailside, but my first year back in the classroom.  The past five years, I was one of the librarians at Trailside. I will miss the library, but I am excited about all of the new opportunities that are available.  Prior to coming to Trailside, I was at Waterford Elementary as the Librarian for nine years.  Before moving to the library, I was a middle school math teacher at Belmont Ridge Middle and Harmony Middle.

I am a Loudoun native and I always knew that I wanted to come back to teach in Loudoun.  While at Lovettsville Elementary, Blue Ridge Middle and Loudoun Valley High, I had some phenomenal teachers that shared their love for teaching and encouraged me to pursue education.  After graduation, I attended Longwood University and received a Bachelors in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education.  During my student teaching, I realized that middle school students were my favorite age group.

I have been married for 19 years and have two daughters who are 13 and 9.  My oldest is in the 8th grade and loves cheerleading, dance, music and art.  My youngest is in 3rd grade and loves gymnastics and being ACTIVE!  They keep my husband and I busy, but bring us so much joy!

I love the beach, Disney and Dunkin Donuts coffee!

I look forward to getting to know my 6th grade students this year!
